Oliver Martinez
Oliver's passion for martial arts ignited when he joined the Southwest Aikido Institute in 1992, studying under the guidance of Bill Sosa Sensei alongside his father. Immersed in the rich traditions of Japanese martial arts, Oliver developed a deep appreciation for its physical, cultural, and historical aspects.
Having experienced the holistic benefits of martial arts, Mr. Martinez strongly believes in a well-rounded approach that encompasses more than just physical training. He emphasizes the importance of understanding the cultural and historical context, as it contributes to personal growth and success in life.
As a valued member of the ADAA instructor staff, Oliver has had the privilege of sharing self-defense courses and the beauty of martial arts with various community organizations in Keller. From collaborating with The Keller Library to engaging with The Northwest Student Exchange DFW, National Charity League, The Girl Scouts, and many more, Oliver has been actively involved in fostering martial arts awareness and empowerment within the community over the past two decades.
